Contract Manufacturing

SAPL's contract manufacturing model offers OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers a single-source partner for complete aluminium components — from raw casting through CNC machining, powder coating, quality inspection, and customer-specified packing. Every process runs in-house, under one ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

The commercial case for single-source contract manufacturing is straightforward. Multi-vendor supply chains for the same component create quality handoff risk, make root cause analysis difficult, and require the OEM to manage multiple commercial relationships for one part number. With SAPL, a single purchase order covers the complete finished component.

Every shipment is accompanied by a single Certificate of Conformance covering casting, machining, and coating — with batch-level traceability back to the raw alloy heat. Process records are retained for seven years.

How it works

01

RFQ & DFM Review

Customer shares drawings (STEP, IGES, DXF, PDF). SAPL reviews feasibility, alloy selection, process route, and tooling requirements. Quotation issued within 72 hours.

02

Tool Development

Die design, simulation, and qualification. T0/T1/T2 trial cycle with PPAP documentation before series production release.

03

Casting

Series HPDC or GDC production. Shot monitoring, in-process inspection, alloy traceability. Batch records raised per production run.

04

CNC / VMC Machining

In-line machining. First-off CMM inspection. In-process gauge checks. Completed components to drawing specification before moving to next stage.

05

Powder Coating

5-tank nano-ceramic pre-treatment, coating, cure. 100% DFT inspection. Customer-specified colour and finish.

06

Final Inspection & Dispatch

100% final dimensional and visual inspection. Certificate of Conformance issued. Customer-specified packing. Dispatch with full documentation.
