High Pressure Die Casting

Five fully-automatic HPDC machines cover a broad range of component weights and complexities — from small precision housings under 0.5 kg to structural castings exceeding 8 kg. Shot monitoring with real-time parameter logging provides traceability for every cycle.

Gravity die casting process — SAPL facility

Gravity Die Casting

Gravity die casting in LM25 aluminium alloy is used where mechanical integrity is critical and production volumes are lower. The process produces less porosity than HPDC and is preferred for structural brackets, pump bodies, and components requiring heat treatment.

CNC machining centre — precision machining at SAPL

CNC & VMC Machining

The machining centre runs CNC lathes and Vertical Machining Centres (VMC) in-house, integrated directly with casting output. 4th-axis capability allows complex aluminium castings to be machined in a single setup. All critical dimensions are CMM-verified against customer drawings.

Powder coating booth — SAPL surface finishing

Powder Coating

In-house powder coating ensures complete surface quality accountability. A 5-tank nano-ceramic pre-treatment removes oils, scales, and oxide layers before coating — producing excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. Every coated part undergoes 100% DFT inspection before dispatch.

Tool Development

New component programmes begin with a detailed DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review and mould flow simulation. Dies are designed and qualified in-house, reducing external toolmaker dependency and shortening the sample approval cycle. Full PPAP documentation is available.

Quality Laboratory

Our quality laboratory performs incoming material verification, in-process inspection, and final release checks. OES spectrometry verifies alloy chemistry on every heat. CMM dimensional inspection covers all GD&T-critical features. Radiographic (X-ray) inspection is available for internal defect screening.
