About the role
Lead end-to-end operations at SAPL's Chakan MIDC aluminium die casting plant — pressure die casting (PDC / HPDC), CNC / VMC machining, powder coating, quality, tool room, and dispatch. Own safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets, manage OEM and Tier-1 customer relationships and audits, and drive capacity expansion and the IATF 16949 roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Own plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across HPDC, machining, powder coating, and dispatch
- Plan capacity and production schedules to meet OEM and Tier-1 customer commitments
- Lead customer and certification audits, including the IATF 16949 roadmap and ISO 9001:2015 compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in rejection, machine utilisation, and productivity
- Manage and develop heads of production, quality, tool room, and maintenance
Requirements
- 15–20 years of manufacturing experience, ideally in aluminium die casting or machining
- Prior experience leading a plant or a multi-department operation
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and APQP / PPAP
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy, or equivalent
